My current game I've been on shadow and Astral. I dipped into the order tome with mighty meek, just leaned into having huge weak armies that got super buffed. Very powerful, but again its just a bit goofy looking. It looked so goofy, not what I was going for aestetically at all. Spawnkin is supwr good, but its what made me dislike the build. Then you get wight born which turns your various racial units undead, which you can buff the crap out of. Tome of the horde synergies well with skeleton spam. Dark ritual on every hero, debuffs of enemyunits that buff your units damage, and just hordes of super buffed t1.

The first was very powerful split between choas and the necro shadow tomes.
